green - sour cherry

Romanian made and sugar free - promising indeed.

• taste profile: the smell of sour cherry hits hard from the get go, little else. slightly carbonated; the taste of sour cherry is absolutely overwhelming. however, it is reminiscent of kompot, as the flavours appear to be… natural, surprisingly. it is after all 10% sour cherry “juice”, likely concentrate. this is pleasant, albeit a little sweeter than i would prefer. would work really well with ice, with some of that sweetness diluted. it’s full bodied, persistent, sweet, though surprisingly refreshing.

• rating: 7.5/10 - this one packs a lot of identity, somehow. clearly Romanian, it does well at what it’s supposed to do. chug this down with ice on a hot Eastern European summer day.
