C+ Swiss - the Original Cannabis Tea

i am wary of seemingly gimmicky products like this one - with the commercialisation of cannabis as a hip, apparently beneficial crop, all sorts of cannabis/cbd products have flooded the market, all of which are of questionable quality or effectiveness. it’s usually the cool factor of cannabis without the psychoactive substances, which is okay i guess.

taste profile: the smell is very subtle, but certainly reminds of generic lemon ice tea. the thing’s thick with sugar and starts off tasting a bit like lemon ice tea. the body of the drink surely must be lemon, but is rounded off by a strong ‘herby’ taste. the aftertaste does remind of cannabis, but it’s not quite there. within the taste of “cannabis” one can discern slight bitterness. what stands out is the persistence of the aftertaste - lingering sweetness and the same slowly fading “cannabis” flavour.

rating: 6/10. this would probably score a 7 if diluted with a bit of ice. nonetheless, i don’t dislike it, but i don’t love it either - it’s way too sweet for my taste. the flavour profile stands out as decent and certainly interesting, but the entire exercise just screams “gimmick” - the paper packaging, the Swiss Cross alluding to the purported medical properties of the product, its being part of the whole cannabis trend… anyway. i can in fact recommend this, but i would be very surprised if you bought it more than once. tastes differ, sure, but i find it hard to believe this would gain any wider circulation than just that cannabis thing i once bought from a gas station.
